A Ukrainian bride planning her London wedding has made a rather desperate appeal for wedding guests at her forthcoming wedding.

The unidentified bride has placed an advert with online classifieds website GumTree.com looking for 30 people to sit on her side of the wedding ceremony as the majority of her family are unable to make the trip to London. Apparently the bride and groom are planning a large wedding, with around 150 guests, although the big majority of these wedding guests are friends and family of the groom.

The Ukrainian’s mother and father are the only people able to make the wedding, which would make a rather large gap on the bride’s side.

She’s also seeking volunteers to become her bridesmaids and ushers at the wedding, and requests that they are all “decent people” according to the advert.
She goes on to say “Unfortunately, my family are all in Ukraine so they can’t make it. Only my Mum and Dad will be there”.

The successful wedding guest volunteers also get an invitation to the wedding reception – with a few free meals and a dance throw in.
A Gumtree spokesperson says: “It must be tough not having family there on the most special day of your life.”
