Personalised wedding websites

Being a wedding website, our favourite pastime is to search the internet for other wedding websites, mainly to gain ideas and read articles so that we can pass them onto to our brides and grooms of Essex – it’s what we’re here for really.

Today we’ve found a real jem of a wedding website called Wedding Mapper which can be found if you type http://www.weddingmapper.com/ into your favourite internet browser.
Don’t let the dull name or American feel to the site put you off, it’s actually really cool, free to use, and could save you and your wedding guests a great deal of time. On top of that it’s great fun to use.

Some brides and grooms these days create a website about their weddings, it’s very easy to set up your own blog and then you can start adding details and photos all about your wedding – it’s good fun, and makes a good record of the entire wedding.
However, Wedding Mapper takes things a little further for you – the basic idea is that you can set up your own wedding map on their website and enter all the details for your wedding guests to view from wherever they are in th world. The site describes their concept as “A Wedding Mapper wedding map is an interactive and personalised guide to your wedding that shows your guests and vendors where everything is taking place for the weekend.

The website uses Google maps which makes for an easy way to communicate detailed info about your wedding, and obviously all the surrounding areas – which is great for out of town wedding guests.
The website also allows you to totally personalise it with custom descriptions and photos, as well as add any key locations such as churches, wedding reception venues, pick up points, restaurants, hotels, train stations or airports.

You can also customise your wedding mapper web address to something more memorable like http://www.richardandkatie.weddingmapper.com and add that address to all your wedding invitations.

Amazingly the website is very easy to use for anyone, and also can be used to inform your wedding services where and when they need to be at a specific place.

So if you’re inviting guests to your wedding from all over the country or even further away, take a look at the site and see how simple it is to set up your own personlised wedding map – it saves printing dozens of maps and stuffing them into your wedding invitations, simply add your website address and tell guests to visit for more details.

Happy Wedding Planning.
