Hi, I was photographer at a wedding filmed in February for this production and as such was asked to produce some additional images for the production. As a result I worked fairly closely with the production team during the day and agreed with them (quite professionally from both sides) timings and appropriate overlap so we could both get what we needed to. I found the team to be professional, friendly and helped out wherever they could. It was a hectic day and obviously was more hassle for the bride and groom but they definitely enjoyed the day, wouldn't take part in a show again i think but an experience that suited them. Bottom line, they were happy with all the shots i provided, and as a paid profesional, that was my priority.

My daughter had her wedding filmed in may, the film crew were excellent, ok, one or two of the guests did not like having a camera stuck in face but the event passed of extremly well and full praise to the crew.

I was recently involved in being filmed for one of the "Four Weddings" programmes and so have a slightly different perspective on things...Being a newby on camera, i found the day quite demanding and tiring, yes they're are a lot of things going on and you see camera crew trying to get angle shots - but surely the people who apply for this programme must realise that it is a professional production, not just a home video, and therefore there will be quite an amount of work put into the shoots. I fully enjoyed this once off experience and admire the professionalism and friendliness of the crew who helped me along the journey. Good luck to all of the past, present and future bride & grooms!!

I supplied a chocolate fountain at one of the first weddings filmed and found the crew to be delightful and friendly. They fitted in with the wedding reception guests and did not seem to cause any problems whatsoever.

Be very weary of being part of this show. They are anything but inobtrusive, making your special day centred around the filming requirements, at the cost of delaying and annoying your other guests and service providers.
I was a service provider at a recent "Four Weddings" wedding and was not impressed by the un professionalism of the film crews practically taking over the day. They stopped the guests outside the chapel while they had countless practice attempts at a low angle (car) to high angle (chapel) shot using a telescopic boom mounted camera. The brides mother's car was prevented from entering while they finished the previously mentioned shot and then moved out of the way.
During the ceremony they crawled up the side aisles to get shots. "We are never allowing a film crew in here again" was the comment heard.
The father of the bride was unimpressed, and the bride and groom stressed from the extra attention of the film crew. They held an impromtu interview after the ceremony, further pushing back the time.
Your wedding day is meant to be as free flowing and hassle free as possible. The professional service providers you sign up have had many years of practice and have perfected their skills to enable this to happen. They all work together to iron out any mishap, delay or change of plan. Nothing however, could prepare them for the delays forced upon them by the TV film crew.
Be very weary of signing up to "Four Weddings". If you like the "Rat race" kind of lifestyle, then maybe this is for you. But if you want your day to be about you (and as relaxed as possible) then I wouldn't recommend you apply.
